Over-cleansing is a significant risk associated with double cleansing. Using two cleansers in succession, especially if they are harsh or stripping, can lead to your skin's natural oils being removed. This can disrupt the skin's barrier, leading to dryness, irritation, and even breakouts. Those with sensitive, reactive, or dry skin types should be particularly cautious as they are more likely to experience these negative effects.

It's important to remember that skincare is highly personal and what works for one person may not work for another. Always listen to your skin and adjust your routine accordingly. If you decide to double cleanse, choose gentle, nourishing cleansers and pay close attention to how your skin reacts. Our approach to double cleansing
As you can read, initially, I was hesitant about endorsing double cleansing due to the risk of over-cleansing and disrupting the skin's barrier.
However, I understand that certain skin types may benefit from additional cleansing beyond what an oil-based cleanser, like our Purifying Cleanser, can provide. Hence, I developed our Micellar Water to cater to those who prefer a water-based cleanser or need extra makeup removal power without compromising the skin's balance.
Our gentle solution
Our Micellar Water is gentle yet effective, making it suitable for removing eye makeup and as part of a double cleansing routine. I added prebiotics to this beauty, which makes it truly unique compared to other micellar waters. These prebiotics help balance your skin rather than over-cleansing it.
By combining our cleanser and Micellar Water, you can achieve a thorough cleanse without overdoing it, ensuring your skin remains nourished and balanced.
How to use our micellar water
Option 1: First, apply the cleanser to your face and follow the usage instructions. Afterward, use a cotton pad soaked in micellar water to wipe away any residual cleanser. This method provides a deeply satisfying double cleanse. Rinsing off with water is not required, but it's suggested for those with very reactive skin.
Option 2: Some of our customers found it more pleasant to first use micellar water and then the cleanser (so you don't have to rinse afterward). That's certainly possible too!
It's not obligatory to cleanse first with an oil-based product (our cleanser) and then water (our micellar water). With our products, doing things the other way around works just as well. Remember, your skincare routine should be tailored to suit you!
